Ingredients

  • Medjool Dates
  • FireFly Farms Fresh Goat Cheese
  • Toasted walnuts
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Butter a glass or ceramic baking pan.
  2. Slice the dates lengthwise (but don’t cut all the way through) and remove the pit.
  3. Use a spoon or knife to stuff with the fresh goat cheese. At this point you can taste one, and if you like it cold then skip the next step!
  4. Or, roast the dates in the oven for 10 minutes to warm them up and make the cheese creamy and melty. One option at this point is to wrap the dates in prosciutto or bacon (in that case you might roast them for longer).
  5. Finally, top with some crushed roasted walnuts, olive oil, and a pinch of salt and tiny dash of pepper.
