Fresh Goat Cheese, Fig, Jamon Serrano, and Arugula Pizza

The inspiration for this recipe came through our Fresh & Fig Sandwich in Baltimore, which features our Fresh Goat Cheese, fig jam, arugula, and balsamic vinaigrette. We took those basic ingredients and made a pizza out of it!

Ingredients

Flatbread

  • 1 batch pizza dough
  • 1 log Fresh Goat Cheese
  • 8 oz baby arugula
  • 1/8 cup olive oil
  • 1/8 lb jamon serrano or prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fig jam

Vinaigrette

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475 Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix up your favorite pizza dough recipe, or use a storebought batch. Stretch and roll out the crust into whatever shape you feel like today, salt the crust to taste. Brush with olive oil, then a layer of fig jam.
  3. Crumble the Fresh Goat Cheese evenly over the top, then arrange the slices of jamon serrano. Bake until the crust is golden and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes (depending on thickness).
  4. Remove from the oven. If serving immediately, add the arugula and dress with the vinaigrette. Otherwise, reserve the arugula and vinaigrette until you’re ready to serve.
