Imagine: each month you - or a special friend or loved one - can drop into FireFly Farms Creamery & Market to pick-up your special, seasonally-curated wine & cheese pairing. Each monthly pairing includes one-half pound of cheese and one bottle of wine - a pairing specially selected to enhance both the cheese and the wine. Your pairing can be savored in your own home, over weeks, with friends or as a special private indulgence.
Michael Pozzan Cabernet Sauvignon: California
Michael Pozzan Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic example of Cabernet grown in this esteemed Sonoma County appellation. The nose is expressive with wild blackberry, subtly charred oak and dark chocolate covered cherries. The broad mouth shows finely textured tannins, with flavors of espresso and the darkest of dark chocolate mingling with spicy black fig and boysenberries. The wine is dark and complex, well framed by integrated French oak. The dense wine would benefit from some time breathe before drinking - or better yet, splash it into a decanter and enjoy it in full bloom.
